Safety & ADAS

The Autotech Council opens its doors to non-members a few times each year to take a deep dive into a segment of the auto industry that is attracting large amounts of innovation and investment. These ½ day, executive-format agendas highlight a few larger vendors who are leading the segment forward and bring dozens of undiscovered companies to the stage as well. These agendas always include plenty of time for networking, business discussions, and an interactive format that promotes relationships between member and non-member companies.

Safety and congestion are the two biggest problems on our roads today. That’s why lots of research and planning is going into the vision of cars talking to each other and traffic lights. If the industry does it right, many of the 33,000 annual US auto deaths and much of the 3 billion gallons of fuel wasted in traffic could be saved. And actually, it’s right around the corner - we could see it come out as early as 2015.

Today’s meeting will talk about Safety & ADAS, along with various government and industry-sponsored research programs and new products and services. Much of the enabling technology is available, so our discussion will focus on products and services that are implementing and relying on this short-range communication, and as always we include several start-up demos to supplement the perspective of major vendors and OEMs.

This meeting is free for Autotech Council members, open to non-members for a $200 fee, and Rapid Fire Demo Slots are available during registration to companies who can show off new products or services using Safety & ADAS technology.
