The transportation industry is undergoing an overhaul in respect to choosing the most promising propulsion systems. In this quest, the electrified powertrain is showing a very promising future in meeting near and long term emissions, fuel economy and performance demands. In this presentation, the authors will provide an insight into ongoing trends in electrified mobility including a deep dive assessment of opportunities and challenges that are ahead of the industry. The presentation will also provide an insight into how the design, controls, calibration, regulations, and infrastructure play a key role in improving the electrified powertrain acceptance among consumers.
